University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine
Hosted by the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA) chapter in the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, serve a dual mission of community health advocacy and educational outreach bringing together health education and cultural celebration.
We will lead a lung cancer awareness campaign addressing high incidence of lung cancer among Asian non-smokers. Informational materials and educational sessions on the importance of home radon testing and lung cancer screening programs at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Interactive physical exam station allows students from elementary to college to experience using clinical tools like stethoscopes and blood pressure cuffs.
Our booth also offers cultural activities including traditional calligraphy, crafts, and snacks.
